Arlesey Town win against Uxbridge in another pre-season game
Yet another good win to keep up the winning run that now stretches back for 15 games. A good game today that had the team working up through the gears as they looked more like last years Championship winning side until the inevitable changes to get a look at new players. Goals from trialist Fabio Bufano and Chris Dillon inside 15 mins gave Arlesey an early grip on the game that they maintained until a free kick from Murray in the 80th min pulled one back for Uxbridge. All in all another very good workout.

STOURBRIDGE 2-0 ARLESEY TOWN Southern League Premier Division
27. 08. 2011
With Cricket still being played on Stourbridges home ground this game was played on Halesowen's pitch which was in a very poor state after Halesowen's troubles over the summer, being bumpy, sparsely grassed and full of weeds. Stourbridge started quickly applying pressure from the very start, a good move down the left led to Ryan Rowe who tracked along the edge of the Arlesey box before firing a shot that went just over the bar. Stourbridge were hurrying Arlesey and pressuring them not allowing them to settle, as the away side struggled to gain control of the ball on the very poor pitch and the conditions got worse as heavy rain showers came in. Chris Marsh made an attack down the right and put in a deep cross looking for Aston Goss but the defence was able to cut it out easily and clear.

16. 08. 2011
This was a much better show from Arlesey at Leamington going down narrowly in a came they could and possibly should have won. Chris Dillon missed what can only be called a "sitter" in the 1st min and Arlesey could have been 2 up before a clearance cannoned off an attacker and bounced off another into the Arlesey net to give Leamington the lead. Both sides then created chances but could not break through. A much better performance and the first points can't be far away in reality.

Arlesey Town Beds Premier Cup Winners
9. 08. 2011
In a re-run of last years Premier Cup final Arlesey were looking to extract a degree of revenge on Luton who won last years game. Luton fielded a team with 7 having 1st team experience with this being the last game for both teams before the start of the new season.
Luton started strongly putting early pressure on the Arlesey goal; Richard Hayward made a very good punch under pressure from an early corner. From this new signing Liam McGovern hit a shot in the centre that was cleared off the line. Arlesey pushed their way forward putting together some good moves and after just 7 minutes Chris Marsh cut in from the right and fired in a sublime shot from 20 yards that sailed over the leaping keeper who was a couple of yards off his line and into the top corner of the net to give the home side an early lead.
From a cross in from the right Danny Crow tried to repeat his opposite numbers feat but the ball sailed over the bar this time, and as Luton tried to push forward a cross in from Jerome Jibodd was headed goal ward by Nathan Elder but Hayward was alert and took the ball easily.
With Marsh looking dangerous every time he got the ball he was fouled on the edge of the Luton area and ...
Arlesey fielded a team of trialists in a game agaist St Neots
1. 08. 2011
Arlesey fielded a team of trialists and fringe players at St Neots after the game had been moved forward to the Monday at St Neots request, to rest the majority of the players who had played so well on Saturday and give the trialists as proper chance to be seen.
St Neots looked strong and quick from the start with players up front that are on more money per week than most teams entire budget at this level. After 15 minutes the front pairing calved their way through the Arlesey defence when the impressive Lewis Hilliard slid in a diagonal ball to Stefan Moore who shot low under keeper Mark Osborne to give the home side the lead. 7 Minutes later Moore received the ball in a position that looked offside but play was waived on for him to put in a pin point cross that found Hilliard at the far post and he had an easy job to head home. Just 3 minutes later Aaron Green put in a lovely little ball over the defence to Moore who chipped the ball over the stranded Osborn for 3-0.
Arlesey looking shocked by the speed of the front two a mistake in the middle was latched onto by Moore who put in a perfect pass to Hilliard who ran through to shoot under Osborn for...
